I’ve been challenged by a friend to take my first poem and transform it for this last poem.
One Redux
I am rainwater seeping into the center
of an invisible Eye
a hole in the ground littered with faded memories
skeletons roots shuddering dirt
I am strange codes and ancient intentions
raw shaken electric humped
branched tight as a bud and barely
alive
I wake swirling hot gnarled by dying
dreams that leap into bending cedars
then black wires then a red sun lifted up
by a grand and impossible Thought
